One of the latest news articles = attacks the homeless. Politicians are making it illegal to put tents up in public places. They are trying to make it illegal to give money to the homeless.
I understand why they are doing it. Homeless people are on the rise. Many homeless are permanently stationed in the major cities. The politicians see this as bad for business = bad for the economy. They want to make it very difficult for the homeless. (Like they don't already have a bad life!)
They are turning the homeless into criminals. Homeless people are being treated like lepers. They are being kicked when they are already at the lowest point in their lives. This is a terrible way to treat a human being.
In the past, someone could freely roam around America = backpack through the states. That is not allowed anymore. Free roamers are no longer tolerated by the officials in charge. Officials seem to feel threatened by anyone that freely roams the country.
All land in America is owned by someone = either private owners or government owners. There is no where for homeless people to settle. Therefore, the politicians are rounding the homeless up and making them do something with their lives whether they like it or not. You are not allowed to be homeless = we won't allow it! Really?!!
This is not freedom. When you enforce your way on others = you are taking away their freedom. This is a simple concept. Why does no one see this?
It is like the Covid epidemic incident all over again. Forcing people to wear masks whether they like it or not. Forcing people to be vaccinated whether they like it or not. No one could speak out against this = without fear of losing their job or worse. Many suffered because of this. This is not freedom.
Many politicians in America are very anti-freedom. This constant argument of doing your part for your community = do what I tell you to do = I know what is best for everyone = I am right and you are wrong = you can't voice your opinion = I won't let you. This is not a free society.
You would think that with the advancements of social media things would be better than this. Unfortunately = you would be wrong. We have less freedom now than we had fifty years ago. Things are worse. And every year that goes by = freedom seems like a faint memory from our past that our elderly reflect on and remember.
Take care,
LK
