Every time I go to use the Walmart restroom I notice that someone is talking on her cell phone while on the toilet in the next stall. It always turns my stomach. The person on the other line has to be hearing the toilets flushing. How gross can you get!?!
Do these cell phone addicts not know how many germs are in the stall? Your cell phone now is covered in germs.
Something like 60% of today's people spend their time on the toilet for 10 minutes or more = reading something or using their smart phones. In this day and age with so many diseases going around I can't understand why people are doing this. There is no point in wearing a mask or any of the other silly anti-disease spreading techniques if you are doing this all the time.
In a study, they found that most men and people under 35 like to spend a lot of time in the bathroom on the toilet. It is their little refuge or safe place. They like to hide in the bathroom to get away from all the family distractions and have a little privacy / downtime.
I think it is sad when a man has to hide in his own bathroom to get a little "peace and quiet." It's your own house. Why don't you create a Man Cave! You don't have to spend half of your personal time on the toilet. Many are creating their own rooms in their homes to give them a little personal space of their own.
Nothing good will come from you hanging out with the Porcelain king in your bathroom. You are increasing your risk of coming down with something like a cold or flu. You are doing a lot of damage to your back and butt from sitting on the toilet for too long. You will have to see a chiropractor soon.
Try to find other ways to find some downtime. Hiding in the bathroom from your family is not a good long-term solution. Talk to your family. Figure out what you are hiding from and try to deal with it. Work something out with your family = tell them you need some alone time = you need a quiet place = like a nice spot in the backyard where you can unwind = many people love napping in a hammock.
At work, people tend to hide in the bathroom from their managers. It is their way of getting a break from the stress of the job. If the job is that bad, then you need to look for something else. You shouldn't be working at a place that makes you feel like you have to hide all the time.
Take care,

I never thought about it until now but many times in the past family members and co-workers vanish into the bathroom for long periods of time. It is sad that it seems to be the place of last resort for downtime and privacy.
